Transforming the workplace through personal growth

My coach was one of the most influential people in my developmental and transformational journey — and one of the reasons I believe strongly in the power of coaching.

After working for two decades in high-power roles within the corporate world, I recognized the need for something more. Seeking clarity, I engaged in coaching. My coach helped me pinpoint the things I was passionate about, prioritize myself for the first time in my life, and make lasting changes that have led to more fulfillment.

Now I work with professionals and organizations to boost individual and team success. For businesses, coaching enhances leadership skills and creates a more engaged and productive team. It fuels personal growth - both in and out of the workplace - and engagement, ensuring continuous development for the entire team.

My holistic approach to leadership development

My training at New Ventures West (NVW), one of the oldest coaching schools in the profession, introduced me to the world of Integral Coaching. The integral approach is an ongoing and evolving methodology that addresses the whole person - professionally, personally, spiritually, and communally - to foster leadership across all areas of life.

It incorporates psychology-based tenets, focusing on the person rather than the problem, to enhance self-awareness and create actionable change and transformational growth over time. Using this method, I support both discovery and growth so individuals and organizations continue developing beyond our time together.

Upon completion of NVW in September 2024, I’ll obtain a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation with the International Coach Federation (ICF), the only independent licensing organization for coaches.

A bit more about me

executive coach, consultant & SPEAKER

I’m Julia Harman, founder of Harman Leadership, former executive turned leadership development advocate and executive coach. I am passionate about supporting others as they learn to exhibit leadership across all areas of their lives.

With over two decades in financial services, I have held leadership roles at several super-regional and global commercial banking organizations, including EVP and Head of Corporate Banking at a Dallas-based public bank holding company and North Texas Regional President at a large national bank.

My experience includes establishing and growing new business units, capital raising, business strategy formulation and execution, client acquisition, revenue growth, and leading large teams. I possess deep industry knowledge across financial, energy, industrial, consumer/retail, government and nonprofit, technology, media, telecom, and healthcare sectors.

Beyond my professional achievements, I’ve served on the boards of several organizations and was recognized as a 2019 "Women in Business" honoree and a 2018 "40 Under 40" honoree by the Dallas Business Journal. I hold a BBA in Finance from Baylor University, graduating summa cum laude.

I’m also the married mom of two teenagers. I love to read, especially about psychology, neuroscience, and the science of being happy. At any time, I’ve likely got three books going. I love the outdoors and am in awe of how beautiful our world is when we slow down enough to pay attention to it. If I had a free day, I’d have an outdoor brunch and listen to live music with loved ones.
